What Lenovo Services cover data backups?

To ensure your backups are fully covered, we recommend you pair Lenovo Software Services for backups with Lenovo Services or Maintenance Contract.

Can I transfer Lenovo Services from one machine to another?

In order to ensure you can redeem the services stated and receive the complete range of repair, maintenance and support benefits, each machine needs its own Lenovo Services.

Will my Lenovo Services automatically be renewed?

No, but we will contact you 30 days before it expires to give you time to renew and ensure you’re never without valuable cover.

Should I buy an upgrade or post warranty Lenovo Service?

It all depends on your specific business needs, but customers frequently buy a 3 year Lenovo Service Upgrade followed by a 1 or 2 year Lenovo Service Post Warranty.

Is there a service tailored for setting up new software and hardware?

Yes, you can buy a Service Pack and Maintenance Contract to cover installations.

Is my Maintenance Contract still valid if I modify my Lenovo hardware?

Yes, as long as you use genuine Lenovo parts and they’re installed by a Lenovo engineer.

If I sell my Lenovo hardware, can I also transfer my Lenovo Services

No, Lenovo Services benefits are only available to the business they’re registered to – but the new owner can buy their own Lenovo Services for the hardware.

What does Committed Service mean?

Committed Service is an option that means your agreement will state that an approved engineer will arrive on-site within 4hrs to repair your equipment.

IBM Multi-manufacturer support

What is IBM Multi-Manufacturer Support?

If you have an IT system that includes machines from other manufacturers, such as Dell, Cisco or HP, then you may need to cover them with our IBM Multi-Manufacturer Support – one simple service that will protect your whole IT system.

How do I know what you will cover?

As with all our services, we need to know the serial numbers or ID of each machine so we can provide the right protection. The same applies to machines of manufacturers other than IBM or Lenovo but if you’re unsure, please contact us.
